Exciting times are unfolding at Sefa Soccer Academy! We’ve just wrapped up an incredible winter season with the Academy Super League (ASL) and are now setting our sights on the much-anticipated ASL Spring season, starting April 6 and running through July. Our young athletes have been putting in the work, and we’re thrilled to see what’s ahead as they take to the field!
A Stellar Winter Season
This past winter was nothing short of a success, especially for our U9-U12 teams. They embraced the challenge of indoor Futsal games—a fast-paced, skill-building version of soccer that hones technical abilities and sharpens decision-making. These sessions took place in warm, welcoming indoor gyms across Coquitlam, New Westminster and Burnaby, keeping the kids active and engaged despite the cold weather outside.
While many outdoor soccer games across British Columbia faced cancellations for two to three weeks in February due to chilly conditions, our academy teams kept the momentum going. Playing indoors meant they didn’t miss a single opportunity to enjoy the game, and it showed! Many of our young players delivered standout performances and made impressive strides in their development. Seeing them grow, learn, and light up the gym with their enthusiasm was a true highlight of the season.
Spring Season on the Horizon
Now, as we transition to spring, the excitement at Sefa Soccer Academy is palpable. The ASL Spring season is the heart of our year—a time packed with matches and chances for our players to shine. What makes us unique as a Coquitlam soccer club is our dedication to each child’s growth. We’re always evaluating our players—both boys and girls—and when they’re ready, we move them up a level to keep their progress on a fast track. It’s all about ensuring they’re challenged and supported every step of the way.
Our soccer programs cater to kids of all ages and skill levels, from U5 beginners to U18 players looking to take their game to new heights. With tailored soccer trainings designed to meet each athlete where they are, we’re committed to helping every child thrive on and off the field.
