Welcome to the SEFA Soccer Academy FAQ page! We’ve compiled answers to some of the most common questions about our kids soccer programs in Coquitlam. Whether you already know about us or are curious what sets a soccer academy apart from a soccer club, you’ll find helpful information here. Our goal is to provide clarity about our training approach and everything related to youth soccer development. If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help!

How often do you provide trainings?

At Sefa, we provide all teams with 2 training days a week with additional skill development training (optional)

Where are your training locations

Our soccer training locations are spread across Coquitlam to ensure easy accessibility. We currently have training centers at Town Center, Charles Best Turf, Cottonwood park, Mundy Park, Mountain View Park. These central locations ensure that kids from all parts of Coquitlam, as well as neighboring cities like Maple Ridge, Pitt Meadows, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, and Burnaby, are within a convenient 15-25 minute drive. Our goal is to make sure that every aspiring soccer player in the Metro Vancouver area has an opportunity to join us and enhance their skills

Does Sefa Academy play games?

Yes, we play in the ASL League. Games are played on Sundays.

Do club games and academy games conflict?

No, club soccer games are held on Saturdays, while soccer academy games are scheduled for Sundays, ensuring no conflict between the two.

Where are soccer academy games held?

All youth soccer games are held in Metro Vancouver, including New Westminster, Coquitlam, Burnaby, Vancouver, Langley, and Richmond. This setup provides convenience and accessibility for players and families across different regions of the Lower Mainland

At what age do you accept kids into your Academy?

At Sefa, we accept kids as young as 5 years old.

Do you have Spring and Summer seasons?

Yes, we provide year round soccer training.

My child is registered with another soccer club. Can he still join your academy?

Yes, we accept all players from different clubs and academies.

Does Sefa Coquitlam Soccer Academy play in tournaments?

Yes, we do participate in local and international youth soccer tournaments.

What is the difference between a soccer club and a soccer academy?

A soccer academy provides a more competitive environment and focuses more on the development of players, rather than providing recreational soccer.
